L’Observatoire des Sénégalais de la Diaspora (OSD) a brillamment participé, samedi 11 février 2023 au forum MEET Africa (Mobilisation Européenne pour l’Entrepreneuriat en Afrique) en présence de nombreux entrepreneurs français et africains y compris des autorités françaises et sénégalaises notamment Mme Thérése Faye Diouf, Administrateur du Fonds de garantie d’investissement prioritaires (FONGIP).
Représenté par son président le journaliste Jamil Thiam et son Chargé de Projets à l’occurrence Sidy Djileh Sambou, l’Observatoire des Sénégalais de la Diaspora (OSD) a pleinement assuré sa contribution au forum de l’entrepreneuriat de la diaspora l’Afrique dans l’hexagone. Outre l’exposition faite sur les différentes actions de l’OSD en Belgique et au Sénégal, ses représentants ont assisté au panel sur la problématique du financement dans le double espace sous la présidence de Mme Thérése Faye Diouf, Administrateur du FONGIP, de la Délégation Générale à l’Entreprenariat Rapide des Femmes et des Jeunes -( DERFJ), de la Promotion des Investissements et Grands Travaux Sénégal (APIX), de l’Agence de Développement et d’Encadrement des Petites et Moyennes Entreprises (Adepme) pour le Sénégal. Au niveau africain, la Cote d’Ivoire, le Mali et beaucoup d’autres pays ont participé au Meet Africa 2023 à Paris.
Divers bailleurs et investisseurs ont également accompagné les compatriotes de la diaspora, porteurs de projets pour le Sénégal. L’Etat francais était également bien représenté via ses institutions en charge de l’immigration, du développement en particulier.
Le Forum des Entrepreneurs de la Diaspora a ainsi proposé le samedi 11 février 2023 au Palais des Congrès , Porte Maillot, un espace d’exposition pour les acteurs publics et privés africains et européens afin de promouvoir l’offre à destination des diasporas, un espace de conférences plénières, des ateliers thématiques et ateliers pays, des sessions de networking entrepreneurs/investisseurs, talents/recruteurs et de multiples animations (concours de pitch, arbre à palabres, happenings culturels…).
MEET Africa partage cette vision avec l’Observatoire des Sénégalais de la Diaspora (OSD) qui est de contribuer au développement de l’entrepreneuriat de la diaspora entre l’Europe et l’Afrique mis en œuvre par Expertise France, cofinancé à hauteur de 8,5 millions d’euros par l’Union Européenne et l’Agence Française de Développement. En Belgique, l’OSD soutient et accompagne en Belgique des projets inspirants portés par les acteurs de la diaspora africaine, sénégalaise en particulier.
